Seizure (convulsions)
Numbness or tingling on one side of your body
Signs of infection such as fever, chills, sore throat, flu symptoms, easy bruising or bleeding (nosebleeds, bleeding gums),loss of appetite, nausea and vomiting, unusual weakness
Dry cough, feeling short of breath, weight loss, night sweats
Pain or burning when you urinate
White patches or sores inside your mouth or on your lips
Nausea, upper stomach pain, itching, loss of appetite, dark urine, clay-colored stools, jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes)

Drug Dose Information

Anaplastic astrocytoma:
The starting dose is 150 mg/m2 once daily for first 5 days in 28days cycle. It may be adjusted depending upon blood counts. 

Metastatic melanoma: 
The dose is given in range of 150 – 200mg/m2 once daily for first 5 days in 28days cycle, as a single therapy.

How To Take

Should be taken on an empty stomach. Take on an empty stomach at least 1 hr before meals.

Storage

Oral: Store at 15-30°C. Store it at room temperature and away from excess heat and moisture.

Reduced effectiveness of vaccines and generalised infection may occur in patients immunised with live vaccines. Decreased temozolomide clearance with valproic acid. Increased risk of myelosupression with other myelosuppressive agents.
